Andrew Jones tells Fox News the 2026 cores hit "mainly soil", not solid rock

· by Andrew Jones, Noah's Ark Scans

Jones told Fox News the team drilled over 60 ft and found no solid rock block, which he said should give skeptics pause; on "Saturday in America" he said he expects confirmation after this winter's soil analysis.

What is claimed

Drilling found mainly soil and boulders rather than a consistent rock mass, which Jones says challenges the view that the formation is natural rock.

What is established

Laboratory results were pending; earlier geological studies (Collins & Fasold 1996) concluded the formation is natural.

Details

Jones said over 300 soil samples were collected and that lab work is still to be done. He said pottery dated by style from the early Chalcolithic to the Iron Age was found beside the formation, not within it. Fox described the project as supported by Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University, while SCU and NTV name Sivas Cumhuriyet University as the lead institution.
