· by Doğruluk Payı
Turkish fact-checker Doğruluk Payı rated partly false a viral X claim that radar found decks, tunnels and rooms six metres under Durupınar, saying the anomalies are real but unexplained.
What is claimed
The viral post claimed radar had found the Ark's deck, tunnels and rooms about six metres down.
What is established
Radar anomalies and soil differences were reported, but no physical deck, tunnel or room had been confirmed.
Details
Published 28 September by Resul Kunt and missed in earlier sweeps, so added as a backfill. The check addressed an X post of 27 September with more than 630,000 views. It says radar anomalies and higher organic matter in some soil samples were reported, but organic matter can come from roots and other natural sources, the anomalies have not been physically confirmed as decks or rooms, and independent peer review is needed. It cites the 1996 Collins and Fasold paper.
