· by BASE Institute, Bob Cornuke

Bob Cornuke's BASE Institute said a team found a large rock-like object resembling petrified wood at about 13,000 ft on Takht-e Suleyman in Iran's Alborz range.

What is claimed

The object is the one Ed Davis said he saw and is a candidate for Noah's Ark ("I can't imagine what it could be if it is not the Ark", Arch Bonnema told ABC).

What is established

Per Wikipedia, geologists and timber experts reviewing the photos disputed that the object was petrified wood, and the find was not peer reviewed.
